Nice little note at MSMobiles that TomTom 5 has now been updated.
It’s not too straight forward in that you must remove the card and update it from a Reader somewhere - but at least they have tried to be very explicit about the Fact that this WIL NOT WORK from ActiveSync, etc…..
I’ve just got a secondary 256Mb MiniSD card yesterday so now I can roll back the WM5 to 2003SE, back this up to the new MiniSD, roll forward again to the WM5 (but now having a secure back up plan….;-) and then reformat the 512 and copy back TomTom, and upgrade to 5.2.
I don’t know if I’ll have a chance to do all that tonight (Went to Arsenal vs. Reading last night, and it’s getting pretty cold in London these nights) but we’ll see how much can be done?
