So how is this, these guys use a system that I guess effectively makes it impossible(?) to copy their text from the web page – but in doing this you can’t even read the article……

Caveat:
I am now using Windows 7 Beta on my day-to-day Laptop and as such I am now running IE8, so that might cause it? But I have also used Chrome and this can’t display it either.

Looking at the URL it appears that they somehow parse the content through some server based viewer at their end?

UPDATE:
Compatibility View in IE8 does correct this….

Click on the image to go to their web page if you’d like? ;-)

One Response to ““MIS Financial Review” taking copyright protection too far? So far that no-one can read your web pages – surely this is ridiculous?”

  1. 1. Jeff Says:

They are transposing divs with every other letter in one div, and every next letter in the other. When you select you only get one div. The errors in display come when the fixed-width font is not properly sized, or when the divs are slightly off-center.

Interesting, and yes – way too far. Perhaps in the US congressional spending bill, they can allocate several billion to have all corporate websites manipulated like this.
