About

Quite a while back now I was subbed out from my Integrator to a FTSE 100 Company on the south coast of UK as the temporary Citrix Architect, and due to the distance involved I had a choice of either staying over for the week or using the Train to commute, as the total trip (one way) was around 1hour45mins it was a bit touch and go to start with.

As I got in to it I found myself sharing the journey with someone who became a good mate and friend Dave Oliver and we had many a chat about all things technical as he was Software/Coding focused and I was coming from the other direction where I integrated products and in-house developed components with a focus on Citrix’s products.

In the process of this he introduced me to the concept of blogs and blogging, and with quite a bit of time on my hands during the train journey, I started to make use of the spare time when I was not having a good read.

This blog is perhaps not a true blog in some sense and more of an aggregation of news on all kinds of technology that I find interesting and I make no apology for that. In some ways my efforts at maintaining this blog (and my previous efforts at geekswithblogs.net/wallabyfan ) was simply a way to share the solutions of technical issues that I found in an effort to help others, along with a way of keeping together all the snippets of things that I found useful.

So now I find myself being much more Pre-Sales focused working for a vendor and as such I am dealing less with actual troubleshooting issues and finding more of time is keeping up to date on exactly what’s going on with regards to Thin Clients, VDI, CCI, Blade PC’s, etc. So now although the focus has changed somewhat I think the content won’t be too different.

Please feel free to drop me a note with your comments?
